the officiant noted during the ceremony they looked like two 1940's hollywood stars and i could not agree more!
katie and andrew celebrated their wedding day surrounded by an intimate crowd of their loved ones at the breathtaking shelburne farms in shelburne, vermont. with lake champlain and the adirondack mountains as their backdrop, the late september sun set on the newlyweds to enjoy their fresh wedding high!
though small and intimate, the focus on the smaller details is what mattered. it brought tears to my eyes that katie's dress was indeed her own mother's but with some updated alternations. (the wedding weekend was actually her parents wedding anniversary weekend too!)
katie did her own hair (as she is a talented hair dress here in burlington!) and i always love photographing a bride getting ready for her own wedding with these glamour details.
they had an irish wedding knot for the ceremony which was decorated in travel charms that represented their lifestyle.
my favorite part was their sweet note exchange. they did not want to see each other before the ceremony, but they did have a few thoughts to share before seeing each other at the isle. i loved this part, because i got to play a mix of film director and mail man with the letter exchange!
loved this magical day and delighted to capture & preserve it.
