gillian and alex hosted a laid back, beautiful and total d.i.y. backyard wedding at the gormley christmas tree farm in pittsford, vt.
i was beyond impressed with the strong and tight knit community of loved ones who all played a role in their day. the most impressive and exciting highlights were that gillian's mother made nearly all the food for all 150 wedding guests. talk about a home cooked meal!
also that alex and gillian wanted to include everyone in their ceremony march, so they lead the way to their cite while all the guests followed them to the beautiful field.
directly after the ceremony, the newlyweds hid behind a huge rock near the ceremony and popped open a bottle of bubbly to watch all their guest settle into cocktail hour from afar. brilliant!
the speeches were touching and hilarious like from the chen family who brought up stories of gillian being their long lost daughter and mr. chen yelling "GILLIAN! GO HOME!"
alex's father is a talented musician & his own band played live soul cover songs which had everyone on the dance floor in no time!
so much vermont love i could bust! thank you so much for a beautiful day & having me there to capture it!
